2010 Royal Rumble!!

The time has finally come for the road to Wrestlemania 26 to begin! Tonight, live on Pay-Per-View, 30 of WWE's top stars will battle in the Royal Rumble match to determine who will win a championship match of their choosing and to main event Wrestlemania 26.
With the wealth of new talent that the WWE has obtained since the last Royal Rumble, won by Randy Orton, this years Rumble could be one for the history books. Let's take a took at the list of confirmed participants for this years Rumble:

- John Cena*
- Batista*
- Triple H*
- Chris Jericho
- R-Truth
- Shawn Michaels*
- Matt Hardy
- CM Punk
- Shelton Benjamin
- Ted Dibiase
- The Great Khali
- Cody Rhodes
- Yoshi Tatsu
- MVP
- Chris Masters
- The Miz
- William Regal
- Kofi Kingston
- Kane
- Mark Henry
- Zack Ryder
- Jack Swagger
- Big Show
- Evan Bourne
- Carlito
*Former Rumble winner

So as one can see, there is a huge opportunity this year for a new face to be the last man standing at the end of the 30 man Rumble.

In addition to the Rumble match itself, the three heavyweight titles, plus the Women's Title will be on the line at the big event:

WWE Championship Match:

-Sheamus (c) vs Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship Match:

-The Undertaker (c) vs Rey Mysterio

ECW Championship Match:

-Christian (c) vs Ezekiel Jackson

Women's Championship Match:

-Michelle McCool (c) vs Mickie James

Now on to my favorite part, my predictions for the evening:

Women's Championship: Due to the success rate of Michelle McCool getting to Mickie James for weeks on end now about her weight, I feel that Michelle McCool will seal the deal tonight and retain her title over Mickie James. Winner: Michelle McCool

ECW Championship: This is Ezekiel Jackson's first shot at the ECW Title. There is clearly a size advantage that would go to Jackson, however, he is facing a veteran champion in Christian. Christian will be taken to the limit tonight, however I feel he will retain his gold over Jackson. Winner: Christian

World Championship: Rey Mysterio certainly has his work cut out for him, facing the legendary Undertaker for the World Title. Rey is the WWE's littlest big man and has shown that he will not back down from Undertaker. I believe this match will have a lot of close calls and back and forth action, however, knowing that HBK wants Undertaker at Wrestlemania will be more than enough drive for the Deadman to retain the World Championship. Winner: The Undertaker

WWE Championship: Sheamus shocked the world last month when he knocked Cena through a table and took the WWE Title. Over the weeks since his title win, Sheamus has made his presence know, however he has not faced someone as sadistic and twisted as Randy Orton. Orton will use his brain and ring knowledge to unseat the Celtic Warrior and become the new WWE Champion. Winner: Randy Orton

30 Man Royal Rumble: I know a lot of people are putting money on Shawn Michaels to live up to his word and win the Rumble to then go on an face Taker at Wrestlemania, personally, I think is emotions will get the better of him and cause him to lose sight of the task at hand. I feel that the 2010 Royal Rumble will be the beginning of a road to great success for one superstar who has never won the Rumble before. I also feel that the way the Rumble ended last year will influence how this particular superstar plays his card tonight. I believe that the 2010 Royal Rumble winner will be none of than co-Legacy member, Ted DiBiase. Winner: Ted DiBiase
